We are all sitting around the living room eating pizza and watching Oculus (scary movie that will most likely end poorly). Like I said, we only went for something to do on a cold Saturday, we are not habitual casino goers- but we certainly won't be spending any more $$ at Motor City.I finally found the time to fit in more blog posts about my trip. The new MGM or Greektown are much nicer & easier to navigate through. It was the worst organization & the smokiest place we have been. Ten minutes into this, we decided to follow a couple cars & found the way out- it is in the center of the garage & you have cars coming in & out, from higher and lower floors together- you almost need a traffic signal.

Remember the 'no signs' I mentioned before? Well, it was really a problem to find the exit- we did see a couple places with an exit > sign, but we just drove in circles. On the way out, we did come across this little cart where they made prime rib sandwiches for $7- they were excellent! Then we went to the garage to leave. That was the best of the whole experience! This place is a smoker's paradise! I was thinking - is there a requirement that you must have a cigarette/cigar to come here? We reaked of smoke so bad - no fresh air pumped into this casino!! So, needless to say, we weren't there more than 2 or so hours. We played a little video poker at the bar & actually walked away with a few $$. Next, we tried to find a machine- the place was totally crowded at 7 pm! We ended up at a dirty bar, where there was only one bartender who was so busy, he never made it over to us. Not a big deal, as we are not career gamblers, but those little points add up. Every other casino we have cards for allow both on one account. Next, we had to have individual cards, husband and wife had to be separate accounts. Again, no signs- would never have guessed that little area to be the players club.

We wanted to sign up for the 'players club' first, that took two laps around the first and second floors until finally a staff person personally took us to the place. There are signs that say 'to casino' but do you go up, down? The casino itself was much smaller than expected. Once parked, you have to figure out where to go to enter the casino. It was total craziness-at one point, we had to actually turn around. That's about it- once inside the garage, there are basically no signs- you know the ones that point you in the direction of parking & exits. It is easy to find and they have a huge parking garage. We decided to check out the 'new' Motor City Casino early Saturday evening for something to do.
